Blue jays in flight

Here are a few shots of some blue jays I took I've been practicing some flight shots for when my eagle comes ...lol

Wow Deb, these are pretty good. And good practice. If you can do this, you'll have no trouble with eagles. They are bigger, slower and further away.

Excellent, the jays are certainly more difficult than ducks to photograph in flight, not to mention herons, eagles and hawks.

Nice shots of a favorite bird of mine! It's funny but I was eating cereal and looking out the back at the blue-jays when I came back to my computer and saw this thread! Funny!

Deb, not bad attempts at all! These guys don't exactly hover and given their size, you've done well. I think you'll be ready when the eagles come back. The last one stands out for me.
