Is there a prettier Duck than the male Woodie , some would argue that the Mandarin or harlequin are as pretty , but in my opinion The male Woodie is an absolute stunner , I love seeing these guys and feel blessed when one comes to such a close distance ,,, took these on my lunch yesterday , Hope you enjoy them C & C is always welcome

That's a real beauty.
I can not even get to common Mallards that close......like 8 ft ?
You are either getting into some kinda hide or what ?:D
Are wood ducks in Ottawa so much more approachable than those in Toronto ?;)
What gives, Wayne ?

They are pretty! Nice captures too. The woodies around here are very shy. Good job gettin so close.

Wonderful images. Spot on! Very well done.

I put Woodies right up there with Harlequins. The irony is I have photos of Harlequins but have yet to get close enough for a photo of a Woodie.:(
