What do you all think? My friend swears by Bibble Pro, but it seems that a lot of folks are jumping to Lightroom.

Anything is better than my Adobe Elements 4 right now...LOL.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I guess it depends on where you want to go. Adobe software skills are marketable, Bibble Pro is cheaper.

I use LightRoom. It does almost everything I need.

I use Apple's Aperture software. I was amazed when Lightroom came out to see that it was almost an exact replica of the Aperture software.....not sure how they got by with that.....

So anyways with that in mind, if you have a PC go with Lightroom if you have a MAC go with Aperture.

Bibble's biggest advantage over Lightroom is that it has Noise Ninja for noise reduction built in. (note if you don't buy Noise Ninja separately you still get basic functionality, but if you buy Noise Ninja you get much finer control over the noise reduction).

Lightroom's biggest advantage is that you can use it to catalogue your images etc as well.

Download a trial of each, and see what you think :)

I'd agree with your assessments with the following deviations: LR is all I use, and with only 2 GB of memory.

What I have found is that after a number of edits, it slows down, so I exit and restart which seems to solve the problem. This is likely related to a comment by others that LR in its present form has a memory leak.

I got Lightroom and didn't take to it. I recently got the trail of Bibble after not liking it either a year or so ago. It is much improved. I will probably buy it. Does a great job. But try both. Some like a certain approach and others like a different one. Both are good.

I own a NN pro license, but I can count the times i've used it in the past year on one hand.I'd forget that as a factor. Try them out and see what you like.

I didn't like the workflow in Bibble (no undo function!) though I liked some of the processing. That was last year so maybe things have improved.
