I love this effect, can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial, or some tips how to achieve this? Has this effect got a name?

Thanks.

Draganize! It's a technique used by Andrezj Dragan check out his site:
http://andrzejdragan.com/ (external link)

Here's a link for some free actions that kinda copies this technique: http://www.pbase.com/mikew714/dragan_technique (external link)

Have fun!

Great portraits here.

Can I just ask everybody for a favor please.

When You quote another member then please edit the IMG tags to URL tags so the photo(s) appears as links instead of imbedding the photos again. With so many great portraits it would be a shame if some were scrolled past because of quoted photos take up room.

I have cleaned up this thread.

Thanks.

glowie is correct... it's a technique inspired by Andrezj Dragan (external link)
But I didn't use that particular PS action set, although I have it... I'll upload the action set I use which allows for more control over the effect... using the effect req's a certain "type" of photo to start w/ and a lot of trial and error during PP.

That would be cool. I'm not so keen on the other set. I'd like to try your one.
