If the wires inside the cord are in colour coded insulation wrappers, then it should be easy to cut out the chewed part and reattach the wires

Fixing a USB cable is not a very good solution. How about just buying a new USB cable and then open up the calibrator and make the connections internally. I bet that would be a lot easier and more satisfactory overall.

After I finished fixing the cat, I would contact Monaco and ask them if they could help. Many companies will bail the user out if they just ask.
