Hi these beauties are soooo hard to get close to shot from about 100yrds away with my 30D and EF70-200 2.8 L IS at 400mm

Yeah I know how difficult they are to get close to, they fly off if anything gets within a mile of them. Still you did well, i`m presuming that by 400 mm you mean you had a 2 times converter on.
