roses...or whatever. Another shot of the little gosling in the flowers. Looks like he is smelling this flower. Unfortunately he's highlighted, so no catchlight in the eye and a tad dark, but still a cute pose. I think, anyway.

Thanks for the nice comments. Mitch, they were eating something from the ground-not actually flowers although I did see (and got a shot of) one pulling some greenery up. I'm not sure he actually ate it. Maybe looking for insects?

What a beauty Karen! A reflector might have help here maybe even making this little gooser and environment shot a true stunner. It also looks a touch back-focused. Still love it!

I think you're right,Zip. I was picking up camera and tripod and following them along the flower bed, and of course when I would move, THEY would move further along, etc etc. Very hard to have time to really compose a good shot. And I don't Have a reflector?? Makes it really amazing when people (not me) capture the shots they do in an environment they can't control. I was shooting them on the water, when they went up a bank and on the sidewalk where the flowers bordered, I had to hustle to get from where I was shooting (50 yards away) to where they went. And of course from water to sidewalk the lighting totally changed and I'm not experienced enough to be that fast! In fact, I should have changed from the 400 lens to the 24-70. In short, the shot could be a lot better in more experienced hands!
Karen :)
