My First Post!

It's always kind of weird jumping into a new forum, but I love birds and photography so I couldn't resist this one.

This was taken in Estes Park, Colorado last summer. Comments are appreciated.

Welcome to POTN :) No need to be shy when you start with a pic like this, it looks great. Hummers are my favorite birds, so I hope you share more pics like this soon.

yes. welcome!

specatular little female!

i second bea on this being my favorite bird!

bring on more. i never get tired of looking at these little flying jewels.

we were in estes park last augsust as we held a photoworkshop in rocky mt national park. one evening we went down and had dinner at a little place called the fall brook inn, just south of estes park. they had about 20 feeders and the place was loaded with broadtails. it was one of their draws beside the food and ambiance.

were were there late in the evening so i only got a few shots before dark. now that we know here it is , we are planning a daytime trip on our next workshop in that area!

Started with nothing and still have most of it!;)

I just want to thank everyone that has commented on my photo and for the warm welcome to this forum. I should mention that this was taken with the Powershot S3 IS.

I held my hands up to the feeder and about 7 hummingbirds (of the roughly hundred hovering in my immediate area) settled on my hands and arms. I was in bird heaven. ; )

Beautiful capture. I recently saw these for the first time on a trip to the States but didn't get any captures that were anywhere near this good (I'm also a S3IS user).
