OK kids don't fall off your chairs; last night I had the chance to shoot the Opera Australia production of Pirates of Penzance at the State Theatre in Melbourne starring Anthony Warlow and Reg Livermore (some of you Aussies will know those names). The season starts tonight.

Not quite my usual sweaty mosh pit environment but I really enjoyed it (don't worry I'll be back in the pit tomorrow night). Here are some shots from the show.

It was a quick and dirty post processing job afterwards to get the shots in to a daily newspaper so I didn't have the luxury to spent much time in PP.

C&C welcome and enjoy!

Why does every pirate have to look like Captain Jack Sparrow now?

You stole me thoughts, mate...

Captain Blood was a much better pirate than Sparrow (Erroll Flynn), Savvy?...

bah, scallywags, the lot of them. Me thinks the Opera is a fine pre-pillaging activity.

Nice series. Congrats, Arrrrrrrgh...

Very nice series.
The first 4 don't seem as sharp as the rest though?

How did I miss these?
Very nice stuff.
Some of the colors look a little off, but that can always be adjusted to taste.
Too bad about the dude's leg in #4. Did he lose his peg?
