Thought this may be worth sharing; last week I posted up a fault with my G2 where the zoom lever was no longer communicating with the lens. Well, I had a little idea pop into my head whilst driving along - I'd removed all batteries in the hope of resetting the whole thing, then thought: How about hooking the camera upto my laptop and connecting via remote capture? Guess what?... I tried it and have managed to kick start the link between the lever and the lens and now have a fully functioning G2! For any of you guys out there who think you may have a dead camera, it's just possible, due to the remote control of most of the camera functions, that this route of communication with your Gx could bring it back to life!
