I was contracted to shoot a wedding last Saturday (12 May). Here are some that I got. Not much done to them in the way of PP, just levels, WB, and a touch of curves - all in LightRoom. Of course, the photos will be getting a good going over (PP) before delivered to the B&G as finals.

C&C is welcome and encouraged. Thanks for looking.

These are some of my favorites:

1. Groom and mother of the Groom, getting him ready.

2. FOB, after kissing the bride said something we have a small smile from the bride.

3. I'm not sure this works. I'm thinking this would have to be cropped quite a bit and I'm not sure there would be enough left to actually get a decent print. The groom reciting his vows.

6. The B&G making the big enterance into the reception. I'm not sure, do you think he's a little stoked?

7.
This is probably the best shot of the day. When I finish this shot, I need to get rid of the branch behind her neck.

Some nice shots.

I would have asked the groom if he is wearing anything underneath (gotta ask since that's the question that goes around the world - HA!) and if he wears boxers or something I would have gotten a fun shot of that. Show the world what they always wanted to know :)

yeh, #7 is nice. #3 seems strange (to me) with the peoples heads in the way though.

How nice to look at a photograph of mother or father taken many years ago. You see them as you remember them. But as people live on, they change completely. That is why I think a photograph can be kind."

7 and 8 are my favorites.

#1 is way too busy and "flat" (snapshot like). A shallower DOF would help and a tighter crop to eliminate distracting elements. Plus, you crop the top of the groom's head off which looks odd in this pic.

#2 Please crop vertical. I really don't care for the arm and branches on each side of the current crop ;)

#3 I don't mind it. The attention is directed towards the couple and we can see them clearly. I wouldn't necessarily put it in my portfolio, but I don't mind it.

#4 Not bad. Would like to see a different angle (higher, lower, etc) and may be a different crop (tighter so the attention is clearly on the couple)

#5 I don't like the background. The groom has three sticks going out of his head. Just a different angle would have solved this point. He also doesn't seem 100% comfortable with this pose (or just a bad expression)

#6 A fun shot. Again, a tighter crop would work better IMHO.

That's my $0.01 worth! Keep that shutter moving! ;)

Nice shots.

I'm curious as to where this wedding was? I have never seen anyone wear a Nascar hat (or at least what appears to be a Nascar hat in image #6) to a wedding.

If that is indeed a Nascar hat with his dress shirt and slacks I would have been sure to get more shots of the guy. It's either the best or the worst thing I have ever seen someone wear to a wedding - I'm just not sure which.

I actually like #3. Gives it some context with the onlookers there.
These all look like they are straight out of the camera. A little cropping and PPing wouldn`t do them any harm.
Good job though

All the comments RE: PP are dead on - as indicated in the original post, these are pretty much straight out of the camera.
Sebastien - I appreciate the time you took to provide specific comments, these will be incorporated when/if I hear from the B&G w/respect to choosing shots for albums, etc.

Thank you all for looking and commenting.
