Jealous??? That second picture is just AWESOME. Perfect in every way.. The PP on it really makes the imaging. What was your lens of choice?

Aww, thanks RC, thats really nice to hear. I'm pretty sure I was using my fifty on that one. With the horse I was using the 200mm. I kept switching back and forth.

I like the fence shot.. cool perspective.

Well... looks like we all got some good pictures. However, looks like it was only some of us. So what is everyone up too? I think we need to come up with a place that everyone could participate and we can actually call it a meet. Lets all come up with some places and maybe we can get something going.

Looks like this place has been a little quiet lately. This last week the trees really started to get real bright so, I was thinking of driving up to Shenandoah valley next week to check out the colors. If its not too late.. I was thinking of going out Sunday, for anyone that wants to go on a little drive.

I was out there last Sunday and the colors weren't really out yet. I'm hoping that this weekend will have some color and that the wind today isn't stripping all the trees bare.

Dont be saying that!! haha.. The wind was pretty bad this week, and i know most of trees near my house are already half bare. Its kinda funny the whole top of the tree is nothing but sticks and the bottom have is full of leaves..

DC567: if you wanna meet up somewhere im in.. I was planning on sunday since ill be busy all day saturday. It would prob be less busy as well.

After we had that rain Saturday.. the leaves have really popped! :)
I dont believe the wind had blown away alot of the leaves, I'll have to get out and look today and report back. (since the wind just basically stopped beating us)

update: Okay, now that its light out, and looking out my windows of the 3 mountain peaks I have around my house..
your still good. LOTS of trees with leaves on them. Still full of color. :)

My gf and I are planning to go hiking up the Old Rag mountain next weekend. Hopefully, there'll still be some leaves by then..

Has anyone ever done Old Rag? I've been reading reviews about the hike and many ppl are saying it's pretty strenuous...

Ive hiked old rag a long long time ago. Its a real fun hike and you are awarding by this awesome view. When i climed it, i was only 15 yrs old so i had some spunk to climb it. Right now... I can probably do it but, i might have to rest every 15 minutes.
