Okay, as many of you are here, the colors have been wonderful. Go out today and see what you get and post it here. I'll start when I go out this afternoon. My back yard alone is gorgeous and I have flaming bushes all over the place.

So, do any of you guys shoot weddings professionally or have any recommendations for a wedding photog in the NoVa area?

I just got engaged 2 weeks ago :-D and we're planning for a wedding in late May. Still working on my budget, but trying to figure out what I'll need to afford and what I can afford. So I'm starting my search for a photographer now to see what I can gather.

Thanks!

I shoot pro, but I don't pretend to compete with the ones who charge $3K for a simple shoot. Give me a PM and tell me what you're looking for. You've got friends here. :)

I'll offer my services to help as a second or even third shooter, if it's local. Not looking for money just the experience to do so.

Hello everyone...just wanted to check-in and tell you guys I'm still around. I've been monitoring the thread and there's some really great images around here. Unfortunately except for my wedding shoot in Fredericksburg, my job has been working me to death ever since the financial meltdown. I have been absolutely unable to go out for fun. I did manage to find the time to snap a few of my little guy at Halloween and last weekend with some fall foliage.

The good news is that I will probably be returning to the Philippines with my wife to visit the in-laws in January. My wife's country is a gold-mine of photographic opportunities. Back in 2003 when I was there it was before I went to a digital SLR...so this time around my 5D will be permanently attached to the end of my arm.

If I can force myself to get up early tomorrow there is this stretch of road outside my apartment that looks real pretty but, never stopped to take a picture.

Jason,

I shoot second to SuzyView...1/2 dozen times this year so far. Work out the details with her and I'll be glad to participate. I am a "pro bono" photographer and do not charge for my work...it is my hobby. I will give you a DVD of all photos taken with no constraints...actually I will give the files to Suzy and she will pass on to you. Here are two recent samples from a shoot I did a couple weeks ago at the National Mall:

Great job on the fall colors, you guys.! I'm glad I got out when I did. All the leaves are now on my lawn, all 1 acre of it! :( So, it's leaves this weekend.

Jim, I'm excited about tonight, but don't get me going, I'm nervous for some reason.

And next week, Kristen Stewart from the new Twilight movie is going to be at the Fair Oaks Mall Thursday, and I want to take pictures, but cameras are not allowed, dang it! So, I'm writing to the staff to see if I can shoot for the papers. :) Wish me luck. :)
