I cloned out a couple of branches from this shot. One that seemed to be sticking out of the Song Sparrow's head and one that crossed the sparrow's left leg. Is the cloning too obvious?

I personally don`t think that the cloning is obvious, but I would (to be on the safe side clone out the rest of that forked twig. Nice capture though.

I never would have noticed, but I would have got the other one too. Nice shot of the sparrow.

Very nice capture dan. I took the liberty of taking out the branch. I used the patch tool. Also, I cropped out some of the OOF braches in the lower portion of the image.

Hi Dan,
Love the classic pose in this sparrow shot.
I would probably notice the cloning, but then that's because I'm the "Queen of Cloning". I too would have taken out the whole branch above the birds head, mostly because it's an easy thing to do.
Paul's version is good but I think he tried to remove the noise and it left a lot of artifacts around the bird. I prefer the noise to the artifacts.

We must try to get out on that owl prowl soon. Or perhaps try out Mt. Stewart. It's too bad the weather is looking so lousy this weekend.

Thanks everyone. I seem to be into a sparrow phase right now. It must be the time of year. A Harris's Sparrow has just been reported here and I'km trying to resist chasing it down.
Shirley, I'm leaving for Ontario, then Alberta followed by NWT on the 29th or 30th so we will have to do the prowl soon.
