ok so heres my problem, i have cs2 on my laptop for about 8 months now and just in the last 2 weeks it is acting crazy on me. ill be using it and it just freezes on me, i can go to open image, but it wont let me slect a pic, i can switch tools, but i cant use them. i cant even close out of cs2 with out going to task manager, then in order to use the program again i have to log off my comp, log back in and then it works fine again. i have tried reinstalling it well repairing it, i dont want to lose all my action with an uninstall . once i log off and then back on it works fine again for a couple hours before it gives me the same exact problem again, 2 weeks now and its driving me crazy becuase on more then on occasion i was in the middle of a pic and it froze, and i have to start all over again. any suggestion. my comp and all other programs are not affected by this its just cs2. Thanks for any help

What computer, what OS, third party Ram?

You can save your actions by the way, so you won't loose them.
Maybe try this: Hold down the Command, Option, and Shift keys on start up of Photoshop and Bridge. This will allow you to reset all the preferences.
It might help. (Save the actions etc. before!)

(Don't know the keys on PC)

Just out of curiosity, are you booting from cold, or are you "hibernating" as you power off your laptop and then simply "resuming" when you power back up?

(hibernating powers off, but writes the contents of memory to disk before doing so, thus providing a quick-start on next power-up - just incase my terminology wasn't clear)

I occasionally get problems if I "hibernate" rather than selecting "Turn off Computer"
