Hi

I'm shooting with 1DMKIIN series, using both SD and CF, using CF to record RAW and SD to record JPG.

Problem is when i delete a photo it only deletes the RAW file and not the JPG.

So when downloading photos, the jpg folder has more photos init as they are not deleting.

Any ideas people.

Thanks
Dan

You have to choose which card you're deleting from - or format the card. That's better anyway. Pg 133 of your manual tells you how to format the card.

Had the same problem. You would think that it would delete both (same file#) but it doesn't.......or at least I couldn't figure out how to make it delete both without doing each one on both cards. And I'm not sure what Mark is talking about.

But yea, you would think that since it writes to both cards then it would delete both files as well, but I guess not. But honestly if you read about it the term they use is "Backup". So if you think about it as a "backup" file then deleting both at the same time doesn't serve the purpose. But since it did work that way I just stopped using two cards.........I just use bigger CF's......LOL

I think I understand now - you're deleting one file and expecting the backup to delete too. Nah, it doesn't work that way. You can choose one card or the other for the display, and when you delete a single file, you only delete it for the card that selected for display.

I misunderstood and thought you were asking how to get rid of all files on the card. My bad.
