Great Blue Heron

Here's a picture I snapped of a Great Blue Heron flying around my neighborhood. Any C and C's would be appreciated. My biggest gripe would be with the fact that I cut off the wing.

Nice sharp focus but the bg could be better. I love these birds. --Rick

Thanks all for the comments. I agree with Rick. The background is a little disctracing but when you are shooting in a neighborhood, you take what you can get :)

As for the focus, I am so impressed with this 300 f/2.8 (and in this case with the 2X on). I forgot to mention, I shot this at noon.... I was tickled pink to see how nice the lighting turned out for high noon... any thoughts?

Thanks... yup, its the 300 f/2.8 but with the 2X TC attached.
