Redpoll and a Redpoll chick

Hi all

Here are few shots of Redpolls. The first one is of an adult and the second two of a chick. I have never seen a Redpoll chick this close before. They are amazingly small (maybe twice the size of a big bumblebee). I think it was its first attempt to fly. I saw it come down from the tree and thought at first it had fallen down but to my amazement it flew away after it had posed for me. :-)

These are SUPER, Sindri. Redpolls are here sometimes in the winter, but I never get to see the juveniles.

Dynamite images here Sindri of a species I have never seen in the Summer and then only some Winters. Its a first look at a Redpol fledgling for me. All the technicals are spot on!!
