Sometimes, I feel that my shots just lack some subject isolation or smooth enough bokeh, especially when using my 75-300. So while I'm saving up for a 70-200 f2.8, I use glaussian blur for the background/foreground to create more pleasing bokeh. Which is software + blur combination is the best to create artificial/fake/additional bokeh? Seems that glaussian blur on PSP X is quite okay with smoothened out backgrounds/foregrounds. Any suggestions for better blur option (normal blur?) or techniques  ?

PS has a myriad of blur options but I haven't had much experience with them. I have Martin Evening's book for CS2 which covers these options, but have yet to really sit down with it and learn.

I prefer the 70-200 2.8 :). I haven't seen any that look real good to me in Photoshop.
