May 19, 2007 10:37 | #1 These guys are just so far away I can't seem to get there early enough to prevent the heat waves from knocking detail out of the images. Left my house at about 3 am to get there early but not early enough. Still no chicks here in the PNW at the 4 sites and seven burrows I checked.

Thanks everyone, wish these guys were closer to check on the chicks. But can't quite get myself to do a 550 mile round trip every weekend, so just a 500 mile one this weekend and the next to Vancouver Island for heron chicks and eaglets. Yee Haw!
