These guys are just so far away I can't seem to get there early enough to prevent the heat waves from knocking detail out of the images. Left my house at about 3 am to get there early but not early enough. Still no chicks here in the PNW at the 4 sites and seven burrows I checked.

Very nice shots of a cute little owl, I just love the peekaboo pose in pic#2... despite the light not being with you, I would love to have any chance to photograph these birds, very envious here.:)

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Great shots. Nice poses and the wide eyed look is awesome. Here in Southwest Florida, I have three nest of these little guys, each with five chicks in them. They are such fun to watch, especially when they are learning to fly. Your shots ar excellent! :)

Thanks everyone, wish these guys were closer to check on the chicks. But can't quite get myself to do a 550 mile round trip every weekend, so just a 500 mile one this weekend and the next to Vancouver Island for heron chicks and eaglets. Yee Haw!
