Hey I am a one man Sports Photographer that do most of my sales post event onsite. A lot of the reason is the event is continious for hours at a time wiht the only low in the action breing while the course is reset for the next stage. So I usually try to dump a card the low after the card fills up. I usually use 2 or four gig cards and try for th efour gig cards so as to limit opening the slot in a dusty arena.

I would like to setup a computer with a monitor with at this point a web based kiosk so the participants can walk up and veiw the photos while I am still shooting and their will be a way for them to place an order and I will process it after the event that day for sale the next day before the event or later that evening. On the last day I would like to process all orders before leaving the site and deliver them and if not I will mail them.

Problem now since I am only at the computer after the event most wait till the last day to order and I process what I can but some get in line to late to view since I take all orders prior to processing them.. I have potential customers walking away. By haveing several computers at the larger events I will be able to limit it some but It still would be nice for the photos to viewable imedatily after they are taken. They order the image then I do any post processing required.

Anyone know of a item that will connect to a Canon usb port and transmit the photos wirelessly as they are shot?

I saw a post about Wi-Pics and looked at it but it looked very expensive and didn't look that stable from the reviews. I guess we are not there yet.

Check out http://www.eye.fi (external link) I am a beta tester and the product works as advertised. It's not as quick as you might hope though. If you shoot lower resolution, with smaller file sizes, it's pretty nice.

Thank you,
