I love that lens, in my mind, one of the Canon's best, and that includes all superteles.;)
JPGs, enlarged crops, no postprocessing of any sort, hand-held.

Very nice images. The composition in the second one is right on. Nothing wrong with a Macro lens for birding up close. They are sharper and faster than most anything else you can buy.

i love the first for the blends of colour but no.2 for the comp, colour ,pose,sharpness.
i have just done some 105mm macro 2xtc test and in the morning will try my own.

Thank you JPalmer, by definition, macros should have superior optics, be they Canon or Sigma....I am looking forward to seeing your images.
