Thanks All

Somehow I thought th bars across the back were stronger on Carolina than this bird, but none of the rest match either. I know it is one loud bird!!!

I also updated pictures

Excellent shots, esp. the first one. They sure are noisy birds!

This is definitely a Carolina Wren, cute little bird and very nice shots; I am envious, I have 5 species of wrens on my life list and this isn't one of them yet.:)

Downy there were a few of then but you hear them long before they are seen. Very Loud for a small bird.

The ole Carolina Wren...another of my long list of favorites :D. Yes they sure are LOUD. There is a pair that hang around here but sadly we are moving next week so there goes my opportunity to get any pics of them. Besides the song they sing they make this very loud trilling noise. I've noticed over the years that they only do it when another one is around. When Tim first heard the "trilling" noise he didnt know what on earth it was :D. It's almost like the sound a cicadae makes. When I was a younger my Grandparents always had a pair that would nest in either their back porch eaves or in the eaves of a little roof they had over the cellar door. They never seemed to mind that someone was always coming in and out of each of those places :D
