Blackburnian Warbler!

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your comments. The bird did most of the work! It really reminds me of how even in the most unexpected areas, rare birds can show up, especially during migration. Like MikeIvan said, he was probably tired and hungry. These birds go through an amazing journey that still blows me away. Jr#8: I'm in central, near Trenton.

That's the nature-bird photography at its best.
What I particularly like in those images is an apparent absence of postprocessing.......s​o birds look soft and naturally coloured....the way birds really are.

(Sometimes I feel that extreme sharpening, cloning, playing with contrasts, saturation etc. results in a stilted, plastic looking image. The same with cropping birds into very tight boxes )

Very nice shots of perhaps the most beautiful warbler, I am very envious,I would love to see one, let alone photograph one.

You're on a roll now, Bob. The Tanager and the Blackburnian. Way to go. The images are excellent as we have come to expect from you.

Every once in a while the tripod gets in the way. But I find that I rather have it than not.

I was thinking about the Hook tomorrow but the weather is a wild card.
