My wife and I went out this morning to a native plant sale at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary here in Pennsylvania (we're working on making the backyard more bird and butterfly friendly).

Anyway, on the way we stopped briefly in a local parkway in search of some Cedar Waxwings. Didn't find them today but did get to make a couple of images of a Gray Catbird, Baltimore Oriole and Brown-headed Cowbird before heading out.

The fourth image is the one I need ID help with. I am sorry it is not a great shot. I took it last evening and can't figure out what this "little brown job" is???

C&C is always welcome. Thanks for looking.

Brown-headed Cowbird (posing but his lady kept yelling for him to come along! :D) - Those are dew droplets on his belly!

And this last one is for ID help.

Nice pics.... the last looks like a Female Cowbird to me.

I agree, the LBJ is definitely a female Brown-headed Cowbird and these are all very nice shots, the Baltimore Oriole is my favourite here.:)

Thanks for the feedback on the images as well as the id on #4. I have some close-ups of a female BHC and it looked different that this one. Of course my wife is looking over my shoulder saying "I told you it was a female BHC." :p Oh well, live and learn. ;)

Again thanks.

Thanks and cool about the three pair of Orioles you've been watching. They are beautiful birds, that much is for certain.

Fortunately for me, my office is within easy walking distance of the parkway we visiting this morning. I spend my lunch hour walking through the parkway nearly every day. I too have been watching several Orioles almost daily. This past week I've also been watching a flock of Cedar Waxwings. We briefly saw them this morning but couldn't get any good shots. Maybe next time. Maybe I should carry my camera at lunch instead of my binoculars!

Upon further review...

you all (my wife included) are correct and I am, once again, the one in error. :( Mea culpa!

I went back to those earlier photos of a female BHC and they are the same.
