In LR, I mainly use the folder view. If I have a folder "ABC" (on my hardrive) that has 20 pictures in it and then add 12 more, How can i get all 32 pictures to show in the ABC file in light room assuming I have already made some edits to the first 20?

Right now, I can't see all 32 in the LR folder. I have gone as far deleting the "ABC" file in the LR folder view and trying to import again fresh. Still can't get them all to show up/

any thoughts on how to remedy this?

I've been struggling with this too. They seem to be missing a refresh routine (or I can't find it) that will add the new files to the library.

What I do now is to do a file import and then open the files that I know that I have added to the folder. In my case this is usually some I have just shot so I can find them by date in the file open dialog box.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Just import those 12 new pics in situ.... seems simple to me ;)

Lightroom is not aware of any changes you make to files that do not already exist in the LR library. You must import the files by choosing to Import files from their current location.

Right click on the ABC folder and you will get the "Synchronize folder". When you click it, it will bring up the Import dialog. From here simply press import and the new 12 pictures occur. However, I totally agree with you - I had wished for an option like "Auto-sync folder", so that I can choose whether Lightroom should autio-import pictures with standard or specific settings.

Best regards
