GOLDCREST (im chuffed to bits)

well ive actually done it the goldcrest.
i stayed on at work the yard was empty and these little guys/gals have been after spider web all morning.
so the plain was to get them on the conifer tree but as i was at the tree he /she was over there so i rain over and waited .yet bair with.
they came back but i did'nt think i would get that close.

Great shots again Jason. So what did he do? Beat up the spider then steal her web?

thanks mitch i think the spider might have one these are so small europes smallest along with the firecrest. and they just dont stand still

Very nice shots, pic#3 would be my favourite, however, the first shot is actually very good ...I don't think I have ever seen a kinglet in flight before-amazing.

thanks im actualy liking the spider web shot and will crop it to see how it looks.
but im pleased with the close up .

I used to see a few of these in a particular piece of waste ground I walked across on my way to school way back as a kid ... haven't seen any since.

well done,i know how hard these are to shoot,my dad has them nesting in a conifer in his garden and i have tried and failed many times to shoot them,#3 is my favorite

The third image works for me Jason ..very nice.This bird is related to the Kinglet over here (same family) so I know how hard they are to photograph.

Nice shots Jason. I was trying to get a shot of one of these in the Forest of Dean, over easter weekend, and you're right.... They don't stand still!!!
