What is the max compact flash card size this camera body can accept? Is it higher than 2gb? If so, what?

Thanks for the help,
Swift

I prefer 2GB max, if a card gets lost or corrupted it is less drama

Hey everyone. I have the same camera. I have the Canon 350d. Anyways I was taking photos on christmas when all of a sudden it says error CF. The CF card in it is not even a month old. So I was gonna send the card back where I bought it from but I remembered what if I format it. Well I am formatting it right now (it's a 4GB by the way) and it's taken more than 40 minutes and still counting. I don't know if it's suppose to take this long or what. But can someone please tell me how long should it take?
Thanks

You should post a new thread, but usually 5-10 seconds. Try formatting it in your computer.

I've used 4gb and 8gb cards with my XT/350D with no issues.

You responded to a thread from 2007 lol

But formatting shouldn't take so long. Try ticking "quick format" next time in the window (that's if you're on windows).
