Went out to Lake Draper again specifically to look for good birding spots. I found this nesting pair about 30 feet off the main road. I just pulled the Durango off the road a little and waited. The pair would take turns in the nest, while one went out to forage for food or nesting material. In this image the male has just returned with food.

Now that is a stunning shot! Great hint of the forested habitat, and the female poking out of the hole just balances out the composition beautifully. A+ !
