A quick stop at the rookery yesterday morning to check out the new Snowy Egret chicks proved very rewarding. Several nests are now filled with young chicks and the adults are busy with a little home improvement. Unfortunately I was not able to get clean shots of the chicks, too much nesting material in the way. I was shooting at 1000mm and this guy landed about twenty feet from me. No crop on this one.
