I managed to get a shot off as this hen flew down from a tree along my favorite local creek. All comments/suggestions welcome...

That's something you don't see very often. Some people never knew turkeys could really fly but I've seen them go from one mountain top to another, a matter of miles, and they did fine. :)

Something you don't see very often, let alone capture with a camera. This is the first time I have ever noticed a hen turkey w/ a fan. Great capture...

Never seen a turkey fly before........quite impressive though judging from your photo. Nice shot though.
