This is kind of a question for the PP forum, but I know a lot of you here use it a bunch so I thought I'd ask here instead.

I'm looking at purchasing Proshow Gold or Show-it software and from the looks of the descriptions on each Proshow is the better of the two. However, I like how the Show-it software can sync the transitions to the beat of the music and I don't see that Proshow can do this (other than manually timing it). Is there an automated way Proshow can accomplish this?

Not that I know of. You can sync the show to the music lenth but not to the beat of the music except manually as you said.

Ahh, I did a little digging and found out you can time it by hitting a key and holding it for the length of the transition while the music plays. Kind of real time editing so to speak. That's not too bad. I was thinking you would have to try and adjust all the slide times and trasition times and try to get it to go with the music. Pushing a button to the beat sounds pretty easy really. Thanks for the response!

Speaking of Proshow Gold, I have a question. How can I make a slideshow and then send it to someone else or give someone a CD so that they can open it. I tried it and they couldn't open it because they didn't have the program...
Sorry for not providing you an answer =\

I use PS gold and LOVE it...

I can make CD's for people and all they need is a player on their puter...maybe if you choose another feature like CDVD? maybe they could open that on a DVD player on the puter...

I also know you can send them, I never have and don't have clue...I am sure someone will answer that question for you..

Chris - thanks for diggin that out. I've had ProShow for a little less than 12 months but never really tried playing with it. I just stuck to the basics generally. I'll have to have a good 'tutu' next time.

Tania. Have you tried making an exe file? They are really handy for people who aren't computer savvy too. Exe (executable) files run on any computer with just a click - proshow/or no 'show'. I haven't tried a vcd yet though.

You can make a DVD, a video CD, an EXE, a flash show, or probably other things too. Read the manual if you can't get it to work.

You have to create an Executable file by clicking on the Executable tab.. it's always worked for me.

Sorry to hijack, but I was thinking about Proshow since I have heard good things about it on this forum. I had a question:can you include short snippets of videos on the slideshows with pictures? Thanks....
