A birds head, and a weird looking thing

Found these 2 weird subjects yesterday, was just walking along, then all of a sudden i noticed a birds head on the floor

Thought it woudl make an interesting shot lol.

and thing looks liek a very very small vulture, that swims lol

The head seems to be a bee eater, while the others are a Coot and its chick.

That is weird. Wonder what munched on that bird. And yes, coot chick are even uglier than vulture chicks.
