Very nice closeups you have here. I really like the Eagle shot best.

i agree, the eagle FTW!! all great, closeup shots, and i do mean close up!! wow like u are right next to them. are they even behind cages? u cant see any of the fences in the shots. great job!!

The eagle was behind a fence, if you look real close you can see the cross hatch pattern on the leaves in the background. The others didnt have a big fence, just a railing we had to stand behind. We were about 6-8 feet away from them. I used a Sigma 70-300mm lens to shoot with. The parakeets, I actually got to go inside a giant cage full of them. I got some other pics of my kids feeding the parakeets with a stick. The birds would perch right on the stick and eat the seeds off it. The owl was sitting on the handler's gloved hand, I was only about 3 feet away from it, there was no fence. He just had a leather strap on his leg. He was rescued, he'd injured his eye while fighting another predator bird.
