some street photograph shots, i'm not completely happy in terms of composition but i blame the shooter (me) and not the lens. you can look at the series here http://www.flickr.com …i/sets/72157600242107299/ (external link)

THat's pretty neat. I'm not sure I would want my mouth open that wide under those conditions but they look like they were having fun.

Love picture two. But the children need to learn the rules of birding.

1. NEVER look up.
2. DO NOT have your mouth open that much. (read target)

Love them but #2 gets the prize from me.

I like these shots alot...very cool. Those are English House Sparrows. We all have them here in the U.S. Very common birdies :).The entire North American population of the House Sparrow is descended from a few birds released in New York City's Central Park in 1850These birds found an unoccupied niche-the many towns and farms of the settled parts of the country-and quickly multiplied.

thanks everyone for all the compliments, i'm always hesitant to post for C&C because i'm down on my pics. my own critque, i wish i had noticed how dark it was that day and raised the ISO so i could adjust the fstop down some, in a few pics i think the shutter is too slow and the DOF is too shallow. in the second pic above i think i switched to tv and set it to something ridiculous which opened the fstop wide open--but then some birds are a little too OOF. but i didn't have much time to fiddle, it was a chance encounter for sure.

as far as details it's a 20d with 70-200f4. and it's at notre dame, in some of the pictures you can see it in the background. and Rich, i didn't get a good pic, but the fellow with the mustache hangs around and does this with the tourists for donations (i think he's basically trained these wild birds) and one trick he does he puts the bread in his mouth and the birds fly in and grab them. it's nuts.

i actually think the best part of the second picture is the expression on the kids faces the birds actually look like i pasted them in photoshop there so 'frozen'.

again thanks for all the input.
