I am a novice camera user. I need some advice regarding which digital camera is good for a beginner like me.

I used to have the A70... A80 is supposed to be even better (and I really like the swivel LCD) Sample images I've seen so far look really good. Manual controls are necessary for learning, and the A80 has them, but doesn't seem to be overwhelming. Try that one... at around $300, you can't go wrong.
