The bird and I are from Northern Alabama

ID is confirmed to be "Yellow-Billed Cuckoo"

Ive never IDed an American bird in my life but something is telling me this is a Yellow billed Cuckoo.

(prepares to be shot to pieces :) )

Definitely the Yellow-billed Cuckoo. They are such striking birds, and it's rare (at least for me) to see them in a part of the trees so as to be photographed.

Thanks for the confirmation, I tried to look up this bird but had no luck. Once I got the name Yep, there it was!!!

Looks to be 10" to 12" long and slender with a strange call. Quite large in comparison to even a American Robin.

You only see them from the bottom the top looks all brown
