I tore myself away from the camera for a few hours today to go fishing, and afterwards I discovered that I still had a lot of crickets left in the bait tube I had bought. I put the cricket tube on the railing beside my bird feeders with the escape hole opened, and before long the bugs were bugging out. This titmouse landed on one of the branches over my railing and looked totally amazed at this phenomenon... he sat there for much longer than this species normally stays in one place, although he never dropped down to grab a bug. It gave me a chance to get these shots before he flew off.

Seeing the bugs must have been a jaw dropper for him. :D
