Some of you may have seen this photo floating around the internet. Over the years, it has gained a fair amount of noteriety, becoming a featured picture on Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Commons, being used in a History Channel production, as well as being hosted on a number of other websites. Doing a Google image search for "Energy Arc" brings up multiple copies of this image.

I consider this to be the best photograph I have ever taken. It was taken with an old Olympus C-720 Ultra Zoom (sorry, no Canon this time!) in macro mode, zoomed about halfway in, F4, 8 seconds, ISO 100. I was playing around with my old Realistic Illuma Storm plasma globe, testing out different exposure and aperture combinations. One of them turned out to be this image.

congrats as stated it is beautiful. Looks like a giant solar flare on its way to destroy earth.
