Color. The B&W's are not snappy enough. Try duotone or tritone and really contrast it with overlays and sharpening. You will have a winner there.

I really *don't* like the color of the sun in #1.
#3 is my favorite, but I'd prefer it a tiny bit more magenta/red... (Now it hints a greenish cast in the midtones)

Another vote for color. The B&W's are cool, but the colors are so beautiful... :)

i like the middle one, the regular b/w one. the colored one is too yellow for my taste.
but overall, what a gorgeous shot!

Hi Kristy,

Sure, I have no problem sharing it! I actually made it myself. I created an action in photoshop. The steps the action follow are:

1. Expand the canvas by 75px on each side of the photo.

2. Fill the background with white (or whatever color you want)

3. Select the photo layer and give it a layer style with a drop shadow and outline.

4. Save (over original).

Ta-da!

I made this action into a droplet and moved it into my lightroom export actions folder. WHen I want to put a photo up on the web, I use a preset export that I created that re-sizes the photo to be 500px on the longer side, reduced JPG quality and then run the "Create Border" droplet upon creation.

Simple as that!

All in all, when I decide that I want to put a photo up on the web, it takes about 15 seconds until I can upload the exported, bordered photo. :)

COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

B&W is for people who can't get the white balance right, even with RAW. I love B&W. :D

Very nicely done - it would look good in a fine art gallery.
