Wow, Ted, you broke the mold with that flight shot in the reeds. Id' love to even see one.
What a set Ted! How did you manage to keep the focus on the flight shot? Well done!
Thanks Mitch; EZ; & Zip; Just got very lucky on the flight shot through the reeds. He started to move quickly to the top of a little mound and I flipped on the AI Servo; aimed in the general the direction he was going; and when I noticed he left the ground; I just held down the shutter....I'm happy it turned out as good as it did.
Love these birds, but I rarely see them around; and when I do seems like they're moving a mile a minute and don't sit still long.
Thanks buddhasghost; We're pretty lucky with this and 2 others in the same area. Once they settle in; they get pretty comfortable, and give us lots of opportunities.
Very nice I have only seen and Photographed these guys twice and I wish I had had the reach you did, very well done.
Thanks Mike; Got the reach; now need technique!

Thanks ospreyphoto; have you been to Fletcher Wildlife Garden in Ottawa? You'll see another very soon.
That 700mm does the job! #2 and #4 are great. --Rick
