HELP DPP and Vista

Does anyone have the same problem? i just got windows vista on my new comp yesterday, and installed DPP on it. and put all my photos into my folder >personal>pictures but i cant open them in DPP but if i put the photos into the folder >public>pictures then it works!???...does anyone know how to get over this problem?

thanks in advance!!please help....

What version DPP? There is a 3.01 version out now. Have you tried that?

Do you have multiple user accounts set up on your computer? If so, then perhaps you installed DPP under another user account than the one you installed DPP with?

On a side note, are you aware that under Vista, DPP funtionality is limited? Some features of DPP are purposely greyed out when running with Vista. Supposedly this will changed during the next update.

I think I heard you can run 3.0 in XP compatibility mode, and get those functions back... may be worth a try.

Updated DPP and now it recognises the files....=) thanks...but another problem has cropped up....wont let me crop or trim the photos.great.!!.......​any ideas?

That's because those are disabled in the latest version for vista... I heard you could run a program somehow in "xp compatibility mode" or something like that (I don't have Vista) so you may want to download the last XP version of DPP, and then give that a try.
