... shot past weekend while camping. Shot early morning out of my new kayak which I was able to buy after I sold the mkIIn... sometimes you cant have it all hehe :)

Real beauties Tom. I haven't seen this bird for years, or heard it. I would dearly love to see one, heck, I'd love to just hear the call which is almost as beautiful as the bird itself. :)

Great shots. Heh.. clearly indicates that it's the person behind the camera and not the camera itself that makes the difference (well, usually). ;)

The plumage, pattern, behavior and call of this bird are all fascinating - one of my favorites! (I just curse them when I'm ready to take piccies and they disappear underwater for minutes on end...)

Great shots of beautiful birds. How much noise reduction did you use on them? They have that sort of smooth look to them that I get when I push the NR a bit too much.
