Real beauties Tom. I haven't seen this bird for years, or heard it. I would dearly love to see one, heck, I'd love to just hear the call which is almost as beautiful as the bird itself.

Great shots. Heh.. clearly indicates that it's the person behind the camera and not the camera itself that makes the difference (well, usually).

The plumage, pattern, behavior and call of this bird are all fascinating - one of my favorites! (I just curse them when I'm ready to take piccies and they disappear underwater for minutes on end...)

These are absolutely gorgeous! I want to see these guys in real life at some point. They are beautiful birds.

Great shots of beautiful birds. How much noise reduction did you use on them? They have that sort of smooth look to them that I get when I push the NR a bit too much.

Awesome shots I especially like the last one, is this the same bird as the black throated diver?
