DPP and Noise

It seems that my raw photos have more noise than my jpeg. Anyone else experience this.

When the camera writes a jpg it incorporates a certain amount of automatic noise reduction. Most RAW converters today have the noise reduction as a user controllable option. If you want you can also do no NR during conversion and then do it in a more specialized NR program. An additional reason for shooting RAW.

does dpp have noice reduction? I don't have the newest. Are there some free NR programs if not what are some good ones that I can buy.

I was also looking at Noiseware, thanks for the link for the free community edition. What does it lack that the full version has for $49.95. Is the actual engine that it uses to remove noise the same as the Professional edition?
