Lovely little bird. It appears that shaft is inserted and would be uncomfortable.

Nice looking bird on a stick here. My only nit would be the 2 dust bunnies above your signature and another light one left bottom...easy enough to fix.

Which Rspb reserve did you go to? I went upto Fowlmere in Cambs yesterday. Didn't see too much but did get nicely bitten by the mossies :evil:

was the stonechat near the beach? i almost always found them near to the old concrete blocks on the beach trail.
