I would be happy to see concert-pictures taken with the good ol' EOS 1D. Especially to see how you've dealt with the noise, which is one of the only downsides of this camera (Have one myself).

It's just because I received the EF 85 f/1.8 today and am going to use it at a local jazz festival in the end of June.
Last year I used a Nikon D50 and a 85 f/1.8 too and was very pleased with the results at ISO 800. Not sure that'll repeat itself...

You have the camera, so why not take some high ISO shots yourself? Web size images displayed here will prove nothing.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Here (external link) is a straight out of the camera jpg. Exif should be there.
It's ISO 3200, but totally usable IMO. (Or rather: It would have been if sharp and without motion blur. ;))
Don't be too anal about noise... Shoot film once in a while, to put it in perspective

cdifoto: I have been doing a little testing at higher ISO levels, but this is because I want to see OTHER peoples results.

I just set the ISO to 800 and hope for the best. This was shot with a 70-200f2.8 and then played with in Photochop with the Highlights and Shadows.

Another thing I do is pay attention to the lighting show, and wait till the lights hit high. Sometimes if they use a lot of lights, you have to set your ISO back down to 400 or it gets too blown out.

ANything aboe 800 ISO, and the grain gets too much to be able to do anything with it. I've been experimenting with long exposures to try and find a sweet spot, and I cant get anything above 2 min or it just pixlelates out of control
Good Luck

Yeah, I agree: ISO 1600 must be horrid
