Chipping Sparrow With Lunch

I went down to a small park near here just to see what was there. It has a small pond and a path, and is only about 5 acres, but you never know whats around. As soon as I got out of the truck, I saw this little guy lift off from the sidewalk with a mouth full of caterpillars that had obviously fallen from the trees. These little guys are notorious for being unafraid and he let me get within minimum focus distance. Probably hoping I'd just leave so he could grab more lunch.

Thanks Gary. I thought about taking the tripod, which I should have done. These are handheld with the Bigma and had to use ISO 400.

Nice shots! Can't say it looks appetizing but the shots are cool.

Thanks Phil and Adi. This bird is so small that I wasn't even sure he had anything in his beak when I took them. Only when I saw it on the monitor was it apparent. And I was only about 15 feet away.
