You know, take the shot of the Macbeth colour checker, then adjust hue/saturation numbers in ACR? Anyone got those numbers for a 1Ds Mk.II ?

Searching has turned up nothing.

All zeros uses the default profiles that Adobe created. Unless you're going to shoot a ColorChecker with your individual camera, I suggest that you stick with all zeros.

problem is, the default profiles... ummm, how shall I say... pull air through a vacuum. :)

At least for my camera.

Suggestion noted. I still want the numbers.

Inside-lightroom's zip files are dead links and they don't respond to emails. Anyone else?

E.J. Peiker offers ACR calibration values at http://www.ejphoto.com/acr_order_page.htm (external link)

They cost 15$ US, which in today's world of some digital software is not very much at all. Obviously, there is no trial, so you just have to take the chance. I bought the values for the 5D and my opinion would be that they are are a bit too saturated for my tastes on people pictures, I haven't tried them on anything else. I know that for real accuracy you are supposed to take a picture of the color checker under different lighting conditions and calibrate your specific body and lenses.

A while back in this forum, I remember seeing a post with 1Ds Mark II values, but I cannot find it. One other place you might to check is the 1D forum at http://www.dpreview.com/ (external link)

I cruise through the 1D/5D forum over there every so often and I have seen posts where people discuss and compare their actual ACR (defacto Lightroom at this stage) calibration values. You might be able to score some numbers to try there. At one point, I found about a half dozen different sets of calibration values for the 5D and tried them. The thing that is interesting is how much they varied from one to the other and they all produced quite varied results with my "control set" set of images - red varied wildly - that seems to be the biggest issue I have seen with ACR/Lightroom is my "tests".

My ColorChecker arrived today and so far I have done my own calibration for a 400D & 24-70mm F/2.8L. It's ~$60USD and if you don't own Photoshop, you could download the trial just to make use of the acrCalibrator script.

My first attempt was a bit saturated and the red primary hue seemed to go a little far, albeit in the correct direction. I think I did a bit better the second time around but it will still require some tuning I think.
