I am at the moment unsure what to do, I have a 100-400L lens but like the look of the sigma 120-300 f2.8.
I can only afford one or the other, but which one.
Advice welcome.

It's slightly better than the 70-200 f2.8 IS optically and slightly inferior to the 300f2.8 IS. It's an amazing and versatile lens, and it loves a monopod.

IQ is still at a very high level with the TC on the EX. But it really needs a monopod whereas the 1-4IS doesn't.

So, based on ICees reply of using a monopod mostly, the answer is get the 120-300 with a 1.4x TC Kit List: https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=2910359&postcount=519
