Taken in January at my friend, Step's house, near Swansboro, North
Carolina. His property encompasses about 150 acres and is ecologically
pristine and protected to stay that way. His father was a well-known
preservationist, whose legacy is being continued by his children. An amazing place it is, near the N.C. Outerbanks. Local schools visit here
to take nature tours. Picture was taken with my efs 18-55 kit lens.

Bull's eye! Which in this case is not a good thing.. also the glasses are disturbing, perhaps it would be better if they were black.

5D and holy trinity of primes. Now the 90mm TS-E TS-E fly bit me. I hate these forums.

Professional what, PG  ?

Fact is, I'm not, but my friend Step has been in an institution or two for
alcohol abuse. I met him and some other fine people in Williamburg,
Virgina in 1975. We all shared a house there and had some rousing times together. The log picture, as I said, is this year and was the first time
I'd seen Step since we lived together. Four of us from that era got together in a reunion that weekend. Step's an amazing person when he's sober. I never hung around with him when he was boozing. His stories
would probably turn off most people as obvious bullshit, but I find him
99% believable. Thus, we're friends. The log photo was done at my
insistence after I saw similar pictures of him and his son. He's a jewelry
craftsman and quite artistic with his rings and necklaces, as he is with his
convresation. He has all kinds of prints and photos by other artists he had
befriended at N.C. flea markets and fairs hanging on the walls of his home. I must have taken 100 or so photos of his stuff and the pretty landscape
down by the White Oak River where he lives.

No glasses and pressing his face against the tree (being one without shadow)would have been better.
